Again students are denied the right to live in Wageningen. The regulation that approves a number of houses per street to be rented to students is lowered from 15% to 5%, while more than 25% of the citizens of Wageningen are students.
Besides, the municipality changes the rules about renting student housing above shops in the city centre. Furthermore, the regulations for parents that want to buy a house for their homeless children are becoming more strict.
This way we will not have enough rooms to live in, even though the municipality approved to investigate some locations for student housing. These locations do not even solve 2/3rd of the shortage over two years.
Therefore, we need to keep fighting for our rights as real citizens on Wageningen!
